Connecticut High School Football - New Fairfield can't hold off New Milford
September 30, 2006: New Milford, CT 06776 New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they observed their football squad get by the visiting New Fairfield Rebels (New Fairfield, CT), 28-21 in a non-league challenge.
The Green Wave now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Notre Dame Catholic for a non-league challenge on Saturday, October 7. New Milford will clash with a Lancers squad coming off a 36-6 league win over Weston (Weston, CT). The Lancers record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, New Fairfield moves to 1-2 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Barlow (Redding, CT) to clash with the Falcons in a Southwest - Patriot challenge on Friday, October 6. The Falcons go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Barlow lost 26-14 in their recent league challenge against Bunnell (Stratford, CT)
