August 25, 2006: Chapel Hill, TN 37034 The Forrest Rockets held off the visiting Richland Raiders football squad by a final score of 24-21 in Friday's non-league outing.
The Rockets now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to McEwen for a 1A Region 5 outing on Friday, September 1. Forrest will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Perry County (Linden, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 2-0.
With the defeat, Richland moves to 0-1 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Waverly Central (Waverly, TN) to confront the Tigers in a 2A Region 6 match on Friday, September 1. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 0-1. Waverly Central lost 28-0 in their recent non-league match against Hickman County (Centerville, TN)
