The Solon Comets basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Euclid Panthers to 56 in the Comets league triumph on Friday.

The Comets now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Edward for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 7. Solon will battle a Eagles team coming off a 53-50 league loss to St. Ignatius (Cleveland, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 15-1.

The Panthers (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Lakewood (Lakewood, OH). The Rangers enter the non-league contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Lakewood nudged Buckeye (Medina, OH), 55-43, in a league contest.
