In Thursday's non-league match, the host Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers basketball team scored a good 65-55 triumph over the Berea Bulldogs.

In their next game, the Fighting Tigers meet the Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC) in a AAA Region 3 match, on Tuesday, January 10. Blue Ridge will attempt to better on its 4-14 season record. The Centurions enter the match with a 6-10 record after their 70-39 league loss to Travelers Rest (Travelers Rest, SC).
