February 2, 2011: Charleston, WV 25311 The Lincoln County Panthers basketball team (Hamlin, WV), dropped 49-40 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV)
The Cougars now sport a 3-10 record. They play next when they travel to St. Albans for a Mountain State battle on Friday, February 4. Capital will meet a Red Dragons team coming off a 78-60 league loss to Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Red Dragons record now stands at 9-8.
The Panthers (4-12) will now prepare for their battle against Wilson (Beckley, WV). The Flying Eagles come into the Mountain State battle with a 10-6 record. In their last battle, Wilson beat Cabell Midland (Ona, WV), 64-61, in a league battle.
