The Somerset Bulldogs basketball team (Somerset, TX), was overwhelmed 90-56 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Hondo Owls (Hondo, TX)

The Owls now possess a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lytle for a 4A Region IV District 29 battle on Saturday, December 13. Hondo will confront a Pirates team coming off a 55-33 non-league loss to Pearsall (Pearsall, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 1-7.

The Bulldogs (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty Hill (Liberty Hill, TX). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 10-0 record. In their last battle, Liberty Hill trounced Canyon Lake (Fischer, TX), 76-31, in a non-league battle.
