The Biggersville Lions basketball team (Corinth, MS), was nudged 41-38 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host New Site Royals (New Site, MS)

The Royals now possess a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Potts Camp for a 2A Region 1 battle on Friday, January 22. New Site will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 66-47 league loss to Mantachie (Mantachie, MS). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-11.

The Lions (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Thrasher (Booneville, MS). The Rebels go into the 1A Region 1 outing with a 0-5 record. In their last outing, Thrasher was tipped by Falkner (Falkner, MS), 68-22, in a league outing.
