Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) and the host Valley Indians (Lucasville, OH), saw Northwest's basketball squad hold off Valley by a tally of 54-52.

With the victory, Northwest improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Mohawks travel to Waverly (Waverly, OH) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 22. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Waverly won 54-49 in their recent league challenge against Western (Latham, OH)

Next up, the Indians confront the South Gallia Rebels (Crown City, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 73-50 non-league loss to South Webster (South Webster, OH).
