Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Junction City Bluejays (Junction City, KS) and the visiting Derby Panthers (Derby, KS), saw Junction City's basketball squad hold off Derby by a tally of 65-59.

With the victory, Junction City improves its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Bluejays travel to Blue Valley Northwest (Overland Park, KS) to confront the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 8-4.

Next up, the Panthers confront the Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Derby will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Salthawks come into the challenge with a 12-0 record after their 67-56 non-league win over Maize South (Wichita, KS).
