Michigan High School Basketball - Lawton holds off Galesburg-Augusta
February 14, 2023: Galesburg, MI 49053 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lawton Blue Devils (Lawton, MI) and the host Galesburg-Augusta Rams (Galesburg, MI), saw Lawton's basketball squad hold off Galesburg-Augusta by a tally of 46-43.
With the victory, Lawton improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Hackett Catholic Prep (Kalamazoo, MI) to confront the Fighting Irish in a Southwestern - Valley challenge on Friday, February 17. The Fighting Irish come into the challenge with a record of 12-6. Hackett Catholic Prep won 91-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Black River (Holland, MI)
Next up, the Rams confront the Martin Clippers (Martin, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 17. Galesburg-Augusta will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Clippers come into the challenge with a 2-14 record after their 46-34 non-league loss to Michigan Lutheran (St. Joseph, MI).
