Boonville Pioneers (Boonville, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Mt. Vernon Wildcats (Mt. Vernon, IN), 49-22 in a league bout.

With the victory, Boonville upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Evansville Bosse (Evansville, IN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 15. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 0-10. Evansville Bosse lost 42-20 in their recent non-league bout against Pike Central (Petersburg, IN)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Carmi-White County Bulldogs (Carmi, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Mt. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 37-29 league loss to Flora (Flora, IL).
