The Anchor Bay Tars basketball team (Fair Haven, MI), was toppled 47-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Utica Chieftains (Utica, MI)

The Chieftains now possess a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chippewa Valley for a non-league battle on Friday, February 10. Utica will confront a Big Reds team coming off a 64-34 non-league win over Sterling Heights Stevenson (Sterling Heights, MI). The Big Reds record now stands at 6-8.

The Tars (7-10) will now prepare for their battle against Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI). The Pioneers come into the non-league battle with a 12-3 record.
