January 26, 2012: Spencer, NE 68777 The South Central co-op [Bonesteel-Fairfax/Burke] Cougars (Bonesteel, SD) basketball knocked off the host West Boyd Spartans (Spencer, NE), 46-34 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cougars (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD). The Nighthawks go into the B District 12 test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Tripp-Delmont/Armour was beaten by Gregory (Gregory, SD), 49-33, in a non-league test.
The Spartans now own a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they host St. Mary's for a D1 District 6 test on Tuesday, February 7. West Boyd will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 57-34 non-league win over Stuart (Stuart, NE). The Cardinals record now stands at 14-2.
