The Giles Spartans topped the visiting Fort Chiswell Pioneers basketball team by a final score of 69-54 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Spartans face the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) in a Mountain Empire game, on Wednesday, December 28. Giles will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 6-3 record after their 59-46 non-league loss to Narrows (Narrows, VA).
