The Northampton County Jaguars basketball team (Gaston, NC), was routed 65-41 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC)

The Bears now sport a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host First Flight for a 2A/3A Conference 15 battle on Tuesday, January 31. Hertford County will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 66-37 league win over Camden County (Camden, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 12-7.

The Jaguars (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Warren County (Warrenton, NC). The Eagles come into the 1A Conference 9 battle with a 2-15 record. In their last battle, Warren County was routed by Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC), 77-47, in a league battle.
