The Eastmark Firebirds basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Poston Butte Broncos to 64 in the Firebirds league triumph on Thursday.

The Firebirds now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North for a 4A East Sky contest on Friday, January 20. Eastmark will battle a Eagles team coming off a 78-62 league win over Arizona College Prep (Chandler, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 20-1.

The Broncos (11-12) will now prepare for their contest against Combs (San Tan Valley, AZ). The Coyotes enter the 4A East Sky contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, Combs was nudged by American Leadership Academy (Queen Creek, AZ), 49-39, in a league contest.
