The Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) football overcame the visiting Millennium Tigers (Goodyear, AZ), 41-14 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Scorpions clash with the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs (Peoria, AZ) in a 5A Desert West bout, on Friday, October 6. Desert Edge will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the bout with a 3-3 record after their 39-20 league win over Verrado (Buckeye, AZ).

The Tigers (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Canyon View (Waddell, AZ). The Jaguars enter the 5A Desert West bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Canyon View thwarted Cactus (Glendale, AZ), 35-28, in a league bout.
