New York High School Ice Hockey - Franklin Academy held off by Queensbury
December 17, 2016: Queensbury, NY 12804 The Queensbury Spartans (Queensbury, NY) ice hockey nipped the visiting Franklin Academy Huskies (Malone, NY), 2-1 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Spartans now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Beekmantown for a non-league battle on Friday, December 30.
The Huskies (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Norwood-Norfolk (Norwood, NY). The Flyers come into the Division 2 battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Norwood-Norfolk was edged by St. Lawrence Central (Brasher Falls, NY), 2-1, in a league battle.
