Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC), 69-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Purnell Swett upgrades its record to 15-2 on the season. The Rams host Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC) to play the Bears in a 3A/4A Conference 22 bout on Friday, January 20. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-12. Gray's Creek lost 61-19 in their recent league bout against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC)

Next up, the Pirates play the Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 22 bout, on Friday, January 20. Lumberton will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Colts go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 61-19 league win over Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC).
