Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ) and the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), saw Coronado's basketball squad wallop Apache Junction by a tally of 65-36.

With the victory, Coronado improves its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Dons travel to Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ) to confront the Spartans in a 4A Black Canyon challenge on Thursday, January 11. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 3-13. Vista Grande lost 69-56 in their recent league challenge against Cortez (Phoenix, AZ)

Next up, the Prospectors confront the Dysart Demons (El Mirage, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Apache Junction will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Demons come into the challenge with a 14-3 record after their 77-43 league win over Tempe (Tempe, AZ).
