The South River Rams football team (South River, NJ), was beaten 40-13 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Hillside Comets (Hillside, NJ)

The Comets (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Plainfield (North Plainfield, NJ). The Canucks come into the non-league challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, North Plainfield achieved victory over Johnson (Clark, NJ), 32-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Metuchen for a Greater Middlesex - Gold challenge on Saturday, October 20. South River will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 21-6 league loss to Spotswood (Spotswood, NJ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-5.
