The Sandhills/Thedford Knights (Dunning, NE) football defeated the host Anselmo-Merna Coyotes (Merna, NE), 63-36 in Thursday's league bout.

In their next game, the Knights face the Leyton Warriors (Dalton, NE) in a D2 District 9 (8 Man) bout, on Friday, October 6. Sandhills/Thedford will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Warriors enter the bout with a 1-5 record after their 48-14 league loss to Mullen (Mullen, NE).
