The Banneker Trojans basketball team (College Park, GA), was nudged 67-62 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host South Cobb Eagles (Austell, GA)

The Eagles now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount Vernon for a non-league battle on Monday, December 27. South Cobb will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 94-50 non-league win over Elite Scholars Academy (Jonesboro, GA). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-3.

The Trojans (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Jonesboro (Jonesboro, GA). The Cardinals come into the AAAAA Region 3 battle with a 6-3 record.
