North Carolina High School Basketball - East Lincoln nips Ashbrook

December 13, 2022: Gastonia, NC 28054

East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC), 40-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Lincoln upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Mustangs host Hickory (Hickory, NC) to play the Red Tornadoes in a 3A Conference 51 bout on Friday, December 16. The Red Tornadoes go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Hickory lost 41-40 in their recent non-league bout against Freedom (Morganton, NC)

Next up, the Greenwave play the Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC) in a 3A Conference 50 bout, on Friday, December 16. Ashbrook will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 48-22 non-league win over Burns (Lawndale, NC).
