October 15, 2010: Taylorsville, NC 28681 The St. Stephens Indians football team (Hickory, NC), was knocked off 55-25 in Friday's league challenge with the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC)
The Cougars (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Watauga (Boone, NC). The Pioneers come into the 4A/3A Northwestern challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Watauga knocked off Foard (Newton, NC), 35-6, in a league challenge.
The Indians now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Hickory for a 4A/3A Northwestern challenge on Friday, October 22. St. Stephens will meet a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 40-13 non-league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 3-6.
