The Johnson Eagles football team (Thomaston, AL), was ripped 52-8 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Sumter Central Jaguars (York, AL)

The Jaguars (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Trinity Presbyterian (Montgomery, AL). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region 3 challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Trinity Presbyterian trounced Marbury (Marbury, AL), 41-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Keith for a 1A Region 3 challenge on Friday, October 6. Johnson will meet a Bears team coming off a 22-0 non-league loss to Southside (Selma, AL). The Bears record now stands at 4-2.
