The Monticello Mustangs basketball team (Charlottesville, VA), dropped 59-40 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting William Monroe Dragons (Stanardsville, VA)

The Dragons now possess a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Broadway for a Valley battle on Tuesday, January 2.

The Mustangs (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Louisa County (Mineral, VA). The Lions come into the Jefferson battle with a 2-5 record.
