Pennsylvania High School Basketball - River Valley nips Purchase Line

December 17, 2021: Blairsville, PA 15717

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) and the visiting Purchase Line Red Dragons (Commodore, PA), saw River Valley's basketball squad hold off Purchase Line by a count of 60-54.

With the victory, River Valley upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Homer-Center (Homer City, PA) to play the Wildcats in a Heritage challenge on Tuesday, December 21. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Homer-Center lost 57-51 in their recent league challenge against Northern Cambria (Northern Cambria, PA)

Next up, the Red Dragons play the Harmony Area Owls (Westover, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 22. Purchase Line will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 63-59 non-league win over West Branch (Morrisdale, PA).
