The Penn Wood Patriots football team (Lansdowne, PA), was knocked off 29-6 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA)

The Vanguards (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against East (West Chester, PA). The Vikings come into the Ches-Mont - American challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, East was knocked off by Downingtown West (Downingtown, PA), 28-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chester for a Delaware Valley challenge on Saturday, October 7. Penn Wood will meet a Clippers team coming off a 36-14 non-league win over Henderson (West Chester, PA). The Clippers record now stands at 5-1.
