Connecticut High School Basketball - Trumbull holds off New Canaan
February 20, 2023: New Canaan, CT 06840 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Trumbull Eagles (Trumbull, CT) and the host New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT), saw Trumbull's basketball squad hold off New Canaan by a tally of 42-40.
With the victory, Trumbull improves its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Bridgeport Central (Bridgeport, CT) to confront the Hilltoppers in a Fairfield County challenge on Wednesday, February 22. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Bridgeport Central lost 60-52 in their recent league challenge against Danbury (Danbury, CT)
Next up, the Rams confront the Greenwich Cardinals (Greenwich, CT) in a Fairfield County challenge, on Wednesday, February 22. New Canaan will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 61-34 league win over Westhill (Stamford, CT).
