Connecticut High School Basketball - New Canaan can't hold off Staples

The Staples Wreckers basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting New Canaan Rams to 67 in the Wreckers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wreckers now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenwich for a Fairfield County contest on Friday, January 13. Staples will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 47-43 league win over Ludlowe (Fairfield, CT). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-1.

The Rams (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Wilton (Wilton, CT). The Warriors enter the Fairfield County contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Wilton nudged Norwalk (Norwalk, CT), 70-58, in a league contest.
