The Palma Chieftains football team (Salinas, CA), was tipped 34-28 in Friday's league challenge with the host Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA)

The Mustangs (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Salinas (Salinas, CA). The Vikings come into the Tri-County challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, North Salinas nipped Alvarez (Salinas, CA), 30-13, in a league challenge.

The Chieftains now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to San Benito for a Tri-County challenge on Friday, November 7. Palma will meet a Haybalers team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Salinas (Salinas, CA). The Haybalers record now stands at 3-5.
