Mississippi High School Baseball - South Pontotoc holds off Houston

South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Houston Hilltoppers (Houston, MS), 7-3 in a league test.

With the win, South Pontotoc upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to Oxford (Oxford, MS) to battle the Chargers in a non-league test on Saturday, March 12. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 6-3. Oxford won 13-0 in their recent non-league test against Caledonia (Caledonia, MS)

With the defeat, Houston falls to 4-6 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Nettleton (Nettleton, MS) to battle the Tigers in a non-league test on Thursday, March 17. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 8-3. Nettleton lost 13-1 in their recent non-league test against Oxford (Oxford, MS)
