The Crandall Pirates (Crandall, TX) basketball nipped the host Denton Broncos (Denton, TX), 50-48 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Pirates (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Carter (Dallas, TX). The Cowboys go into the non-league test with a 10-3 record. In their last test, Carter was tipped by North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX), 66-38, in a non-league test.
