The Mustangs (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Kennedy (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Cougars come into the 5A Group 3 challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Kennedy was beaten by Johnston (Johnston, IA), 28-7, in a non-league challenge.
The Wahawks now sport a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Ottumwa for a 5A Group 5 challenge on Friday, October 21. Waterloo West will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 32-20 non-league win over Des Moines North (Des Moines, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.
