December 30, 2016: Tualatin, OR 97062 The Horizon Christian Hawks (Tualatin, OR) basketball nipped the visiting Western Mennonite Pioneers (Salem, OR), 61-55 in Friday's non-league test.
The Hawks (9-0) will now prepare for their test against Dayton (Dayton, OR). The Pirates go into the 3A West Valley test with a 10-0 record.
The Pioneers now own a 9-2 record. They play next when they travel to Regis for a 2A Tri-River test on Tuesday, January 3. Western Mennonite will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 50-46 non-league win over Colton (Colton, OR). The Rams record now stands at 5-4.
