The Vassar Vulcans (Vassar, MI) basketball crushed the visiting Bad Axe Hatchets (Bad Axe, MI), 56-34 in Thursday's league test.

The Vulcans (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Cass City (Cass City, MI). The Red Hawks go into the Greater Thumb - West test with a 4-2 record.

The Hatchets now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Ubly for a non-league test on Friday, January 23. Bad Axe will clash with a Bearcats squad coming off a 65-32 league win over Mayville (Mayville, MI). The Bearcats record now stands at 5-1.
