The Southern Nash Firebirds football team (Bailey, NC), was tipped 22-15 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Southern Alamance Patriots (Graham, NC)

The Patriots (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Williams (Burlington, NC). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Central challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Williams nipped Morehead (Eden, NC), 44-7, in a non-league challenge.

The Firebirds now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nash Central for a 2A/3A Big East challenge on Friday, September 15. Southern Nash will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 35-18 non-league win over Beddingfield (Wilson, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-0.
