Arkansas High School Softball - Searcy nudges Wynne
March 5, 2024: Wynne, AR 72396 Searcy Lions (Searcy, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wynne Yellowjackets (Wynne, AR), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Lions now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sheridan for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 7. Searcy will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Lake Hamilton (Pearcy, AR). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 7-0.
With the loss, Wynne falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Trumann (Trumann, AR) to battle the Wildcats in a 4A Region 3 challenge on Thursday, March 7. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Trumann lost 15-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR)
