Texas High School Basketball - Katy can't hold off Sterling
December 28, 2016: Baytown, TX 77521 The Katy Tigers basketball team (Katy, TX), was nudged 47-44 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Sterling Rangers (Baytown, TX)
The Rangers now possess a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Goose Creek Memorial for a 6A Region III District 21 battle on Saturday, December 31. Sterling will battle a Patriots team coming off a 56-49 non-league win over Clear Falls (League City, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 9-6.
The Tigers (9-10) will now prepare for their battle against Morton Ranch (Katy, TX). The Mavericks come into the 6A Region III District 19 battle with a 12-7 record. In their last battle, Morton Ranch edged Alief Hastings (Houston, TX), 76-64, in a non-league battle.
