Virginia High School Basketball - Grace Christian ripped by New Covenant

December 2, 2023: Staunton, VA 24401

The New Covenant Gryphons basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Grace Christian Warriors to 34 in the Gryphons non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Gryphons now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Cross for a VISAA Division II contest on Tuesday, December 5. New Covenant will battle a Raiders team coming off a 74-54 non-league loss to Norfolk Collegiate (Norfolk, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 0-1.

The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Regents (Charlottesville, VA). The Lions enter the Virginia Christian - North contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Regents triumphed over Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA), 56-27, in a non-league contest.
