In Saturday's league battle, the host York Dukes basketball team scored a good 65-56 victory over the Northwest Vikings.

The Dukes now possess a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grand Island Central Catholic for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 9. York will confront a Crusaders team coming off a 57-22 non-league loss to Doniphan-Trumbull (Doniphan, NE). The Crusaders record now stands at 4-8.

The Vikings (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE). The Bluehawks come into the non-league battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, St. Cecilia beat Lincoln Christian (Lincoln, NE), 50-47, in a non-league battle.
