California High School Basketball - St. Ignatius thwarted by Serra
February 11, 2009: San Mateo, CA 94403 The St. Ignatius Wildcats basketball team (San Francisco, CA), was toppled 54-43 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Serra Padres (San Mateo, CA)
The Padres now possess a 10-14 record. They play next when they travel to Valley Christian for a West Catholic battle on Saturday, February 14. Serra will battle a Warriors team coming off a 52-41 league loss to Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 8-14.
The Wildcats (8-14) will now prepare for their battle against Bellarmine Prep (San Jose, CA). The Bells come into the West Catholic battle with a 16-7 record. In their last battle, Bellarmine Prep was toppled by St. Francis (Mountain View, CA), 65-49, in a league battle.
