Minnesota High School Basketball - McGregor holds off Hill City
February 14, 2023: McGregor, MN 55760 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the McGregor Mercuries (McGregor, MN) and the visiting Hill City Hornets (Hill City, MN), saw McGregor's basketball squad hold off Hill City by a tally of 64-57.
With the victory, McGregor improves its record to 4-15 on the campaign. The Mercuries travel to Braham (Braham, MN) to confront the Bombers in a A Section 5 challenge on Thursday, February 16. The Bombers come into the challenge with a record of 6-13. Braham won 60-29 in their recent league challenge against Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] (Isle, MN)
Next up, the Hornets confront the Northland Eagles (Remer, MN) in a A Section 7 challenge, on Thursday, February 16. Hill City will attempt to improve on its 3-17 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 20-1 record after their 92-39 non-league win over Cook County (Grand Marais, MN).
