January 28, 2023: Murphysboro, IL 62966 The Murphysboro Red Devils (Murphysboro, IL) basketball crushed the visiting Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL), 51-27 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Red Devils (10-6) will now prepare for their test against Eldorado (Eldorado, IL). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 14-8 record. In their last test, Eldorado walloped Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL), 59-36, in a league test.
The Comets now own a 14-10 record. They play next when they travel to Gillespie for a South Central test on Friday, February 3. Greenville will encounter a Miners squad coming off a 82-53 league loss to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL). The Miners record now stands at 4-14.
