In Friday's non-league outing, the Sto-Rox Vikings (McKees Rocks, PA) basketball squad nipped the host Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA), by a margin of 64-59.

The Vikings (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA). The Chargers go into the WPIAL 3A 2 outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart was tipped by Shaler Area (Pittsburgh, PA), 54-53, in a non-league outing.
