Illinois High School Softball - North Boone bounces Byron
May 10, 2021: Poplar Grove, IL 61065 North Boone Vikings (Poplar Grove, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Byron Tigers (Byron, IL), 13-0 in a league challenge.
The Vikings now sport a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mendota for a Big Northern challenge on Tuesday, May 11. North Boone will face a Trojans squad coming off a 11-6 league loss to Winnebago (Winnebago, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 4-3.
With the loss, Byron falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Tigers host Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL) to face the Rockets in a Big Northern challenge on Tuesday, May 11. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Rock Falls lost 11-6 in their recent league challenge against Oregon (Oregon, IL)
