The Avalon Black Knights (Gaithersburg, MD) football defeated the host Archbishop Curley Friars (Baltimore, MD), 34-14 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Black Knights face the Benedictine Cadets (Richmond, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 26. Avalon will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Cadets enter the bout with a 3-3 record after their 40-30 non-league loss to Woodberry Forest (Woodberry Forest, VA).

The Friars (1-7) will now prepare for their bout against Boys Latin (Baltimore, MD). The Lakers enter the MIAA B bout with a 3-5 record. In their last bout, Boys Latin lost by St. Mary's (Annapolis, MD), 20-17, in a league bout.
