Iowa High School Basketball - North Polk tops Solon
January 21, 2023: Solon, IA 52333 North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Solon Spartans (Solon, IA), 66-49 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, North Polk upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Comets travel to A-D-M (Adel, IA) to play the Tigers in a Raccoon River bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 6-6. A-D-M lost 66-59 in their recent league bout against Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA)
Next up, the Spartans play the Marion Wolves (Marion, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Solon will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 54-37 non-league win over Beckman (Dyersville, IA).
