California High School Basketball - Fairfax can't hold off Taft
January 21, 2012: Los Angeles, CA 90046 The Fairfax Lions basketball team (Los Angeles, CA), was nudged 44-38 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Taft Toreadors (Woodland Hills, CA)
The Toreadors now possess a 17-3 record. They play next when they travel to Chatsworth for a West Valley battle on Wednesday, January 25. Taft will meet a Chancellors team coming off a 57-55 league loss to El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA). The Chancellors record now stands at 9-16.
The Lions (13-7) will now prepare for their battle against Westchester (Los Angeles, CA). The Comets come into the Western battle with a 13-4 record. In their last battle, Westchester edged Hamilton (Los Angeles, CA), 52-33, in a league battle.
